What if you saw beyond the static
On the island
of lost hopes and dreams
What if you saw
something you weren't supposed to
see
What if you looked behind the curtain
saw the wizard underneath
would you live the same life
would you obtain any glory
or be swallowed up by disease
I can tell you that
I have been there
on that island that you seek
and I can tell you
that the world isn't what it seems
and I can tell you that the world
is a very strange place
all the lies that surround you
will all disappear
but the truth that you've found
will leave you wanting to leave here

I had the tune of "Right Where It Belongs" by Nine Inch Nails when I wrote this, I was really inspired by the lyrics too.
