How can you break
my heart
When it has a reason to
be whole
It hurts my heart to see
you in pieces
My soul aches when
there is nothing
I can do to help you

There is nothing else I
want more
Than to hold you to me
to sooth

The pain you are
fighting back
Hearing those words
cause
Me to feel loneliness
and grief
As if I'm picking up the
broken pieces
