Scared
So strong and calm despite the woes of life
Steely eyed through it all; isolated
5 long brown fingers perfectly manicured
Just a hand; clenched into a fist
Shaking silently, it gives her away
Unbetrayed by her cold glare
Her lips in a straight line
Her nose turned up at the world
Her face devoid of emotion
The vulnerability lacking in her storm cloud gaze
All projected into two shaking hands
I reach for them; they still
She only wanted to know
That she was not
Alone
