Another Step Taken Across the Floor
The figure, so elegantly curved
 Points out on a toe
 Bending in painfully exquisite ways
Easily able to snap and shatter
 Yet strong enough to live

Supple lithe gives them their shape
To prance around the bland, oak floor
Influencing fabric is soft as silk
Effortless to the sight, serene to the touch

The bloom comes from each gracen step
Every stride taken is another song
 Another melody of the heart
Another tune to the wild soul
Which is escaped yet politely contained

The ballad brings beats to their very beginnings
To start their short lives of song
Though they could break or rupture hard
The beauty carries on with her steps
Until the music plays on no longer
