Þrýstingur (Pressure)
Smoke billows in the air of Fuji
My dreams are but a hope,
Much the same.
Smoke smothers the ground of Vesuvius
Willpower is steady
The ground is all stone.
Smoke breathes the oxygen
out of Pelée
clouds of white
my memories are blank.
Mount Eyjafjallajokull* is about to blow
But why,
Sweet volcano, my life
Is all but set for success
Mount Pinatubo is an obstacle
And nothing more,
This frozen magma on my skin
Cannot stop
Determination
Tectonics shifting,
Nerves binding
Time rushing,
It’s over.
Smoke billows in the air
My dreams are but a hope,
Much the same,
Destiny has carved
A path.
* Eyjafjallajokull - (A – fee –at – joe – too – cool – uh)
