Is the rose you picked not red?
My love, you hold it while you’re dying.
They watched it as it wilted.
If you only said you loved me... My heartbeat would be lying.
Scatter your fears among the stars.
Turn broken glass back into sand.
I can see my life in your brown eyes;
But I could never see the end.
Your love flows like a clear blue mountain stream.
Your face lingers in the sunlight.
He found it in the darkness;
And the rose he picked was white.
