Helios
My heart is tempered
With shields and swords.
Many have tried to take my lands
But my bronze body remains a testament to strength.
I have seen many ships pass by into my harbor and the safety of Rhodes.
I will never let a navy breach my city's sentinel.
Some day, my legs will fail me
But my splendor won't ever fade
Like a broken, rusted blade
In the bloody sands of Aegyptus,
This flame will not die
Until the Earth itself sleeps.
