Empty
How can you sit there,
With that stone wall face?
How can you just sit there,
While I'm hanging by a grace?
My shattered heart is empty.
So shouldn't it be light as a cloud?
It's heavy as sin;
Weighing my joy, my love down.
My starburst heart drops
Through the place where I used to breathe.
That place is empty now,
The breath caught somewhere between.
Down through my chest,
Through my stomach,
My core,
I don't know where its going;
I don't know which way is up anymore.
