Is It Just A Crush?

My heart beats
At an alarming speed
Like a hummingbird's lithe wings.
My mouth blabs
With a mind of its own.
Speaking from my heart
And not my mind.
He's the one that I
Would give everything for.
The one I wish would
See me in that way.
The gaze I see in
Other's eyes when they love
The one they're with
The terror I feel when I realize that
Maybe...
He won't.
The reassurance when I catch his glace
His joyful smile is a savior,
His bright eyes a storm at sea.
Knowing that if I could just tell him,
He might feel the same....
