Time bomb
Behind her smile,
Is a heart chained in stars.
She lives in their shadows,
Burned by their words;
Leaving pain,
Leaving scars.
Her skin blisters and bleeds,
Leaving only her eyes;
Providing a mask
To cower behind.
Her eyes glint and glimmer,
Seas of tears.
Her walls are breaking,
Her mind is a war zone;
Bombarded by thoughts,
Explosions of emotion
Brilliantly flare.
There is no shimmer,
No shine,
Only violent flashes.
They radiate agony
Of thousands of years.
The seconds ticks by;
Counting down to destruction.
Counting.
Counting.
Keeping track of her doom.
