Time; A Series
PART I
Yesterday is
Storm's sweet revenge;
Luminous,
Its beauty attracting
Stray wanderer.
But it strikes.
A mighty force,
Shredding pale skin.
A whirlwind of moments
Tearing within,
Ripping within,
Shrieking within.
Bring the world tumbling down;
The thump
Of granite would-have-could-have-should-haves,
The crash
Of glass used-to-bes,
The stab
Of piercing regret.
Too much.
Too much.
It's all too much.
No escape
From this tunnel,
Caving in with memories...
TIME PART II
oday is
Empty;
Almost numb with silence.
Small.
Afraid.
Alone in the dark.
The shadows start shifting,
Undulating,
Oozing,
Slithering along the endless plains.
The sky falls;
Sharp pieces of blackness
Drawing blood,
Causing cries
Wherever they land.
Desperate please stab the sky,
Like spears of old,
Only releasing memories to haunt.
The silence grows deeper,
The blackness grows darker,
Raining despair from above.
"Is this the end?"
The hollow echo sounds;
Shattering,
Piercing the air.
TIME PART III
Tomorrow is
Floating;
Far in the distance.
Close enough to dream,
Yet too far away.
In this deep empty space
Only Hope is a handhold;
To grasp,
To clutch to the heart,
To keep the demons at bay.
Somehow, The silence grows louder,
Thrumming in eardrums,
Strumming vocal chords.
"Is that Color?"
"Is that Music?"
"Is that Light of Day?"
It has been so long.
So long since Joy reigned,
Since Dancing was daily
And Life was a kaleidoscope of colors.
Maybe it gets better.
Just have to wait.
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow,
Is only a rainbow away.
TIME FINALE
Time is fleeting.
Time is precious.
Time is frozen.
Time is pain.
Time is Yesterday.
Time is Today.
Time is Tomorrow.
Time is all we have to say.
