You’re with one
I’m with none
You’re on the top of the pedestal
and why is it so difficult
to imagine
us not together
for life
is like a feather
its drifts and rifts and turns
earn me a spot at the dinner table
alone
silence palpable
feelable
unreal and well
I miss you
but I know that fate goes as it must
and I trust
that everyone has their own race
hurting and surging and trying
crying to get back on top of that pedestal
with you.
