Cheeks of Red
Once I dreamed
The word was red
Even the stars
Above my head
The rain, it poured
Much like blood
And the wet red grass
Covered damp red mud
I saw a boy
Across the way
With nice red clothes
And a sweet red face
I smiled wide
With blushing cheeks
At the soft red eyes
Looking back at me
He moved in close
And touched my cheek
“My favorite shade of red,” he speaks
“Is the shade of red
On these warm cheeks.”
