Walking down the street
Staring down at my feet
Thinking about what's been done
Wishing people would leave me alone

Someone else

Locked up in the bedroom
Singing personal songs
Strumming the guitar strings
Wondering what had been done wrong

Someone else

Sitting on the sidelines of a football game
Watching the plays
Feeling alone and in pain
No one meets my gaze

Someone else

All these people have something in common
They're all lonely, looking for someone
For someone to stop and appreciate their true talent
For them to beckon, "Come home"
