Simple&&Sweet
There is a question on my mind,
by random thought it flew,
Would you rather listen to his heart,
or know that it beats for you?
And so I sat,
thinking lightly,
what is it worth,
to see him smile brightly?
To see him talk,
to see him laughing,
What would I give,
to see him so happy?
Could I bear to see him
sent away,
could I love him AND miss him
every day?
Or would I rather
listen to his heart,
knowing that true love
could never start?
I would rather see him smile at me,
through computer, or phone
because knowing I made him smile,
would make me feel less alone.
So I would rather love him
and have him far away
I'd rather have him happy,
if with him I'll stay.
