Mind, Beauty and the Heart
The fountain of beauty cries
For the longing of love to fulfil;
Dragged away by the second
To a new universe of wonder.
The darkness is a bright pierce
In the eyes that want me to see none;
None, except for the sight of love-
Yet this darkness is so piercing.
Doors leading to joy,
Close away to shun-
No crossroads appear again,
No choices exist to daunt.
The fountain of beauty cries
Singing the hymn of beauty;
Yet one may never know
Where beauty truly lies.
The heart still jumps with wonder
When the eyes find the light (whoa! A light)-
The light, so unknown,
But so magnificent at night.
Curtains and veils may veil
But hide not beauty and its worth:
The heart doth act as the heart,
So the light can dim away.
My heart pours out words
For my mind to reflect;
So the heart lives on too
And the mind follow the heart.
