When your biggest pains were scraped knees,
When your arguments were only over how many cookies you got,
When your biggest fear was the dark,
When your saddest moments were when you lost your stuffed animal,
When your only unsafe moments were when the boogie man was coming.
Biggest pains were fixed with band-aids,
Arguments were only punished with time-outs,
Biggest fears were fixed with a night-light,
Saddest moments were fixed with buying a new cuddly friend,
And you were always safe once your head was under your blanket.

Childhood is ephemeral-

Living carefree
Wildly playing
Unstoppable energy
Never-ending friendships

The end of the world.
That’s how I feel, as a teen.
It’s the end of the world when anything goes wrong.
Either at home or at school,
Something is always wrong.
It feels impossible to do anything right.
I go through the day happy and cheery.
I cover up how I truly feel.
But don’t most teens?
Crying at night.
Wiping the tears off in the morning,
And going onto that day.
There are those good moments in teenhood.
The moments when you feel a connection with a guy,
Those moments when your crush talks to you,
The moments you realize how absolutely amazing your friends are.
Those are the small, small things that get me through everyday.
I’m always okay whenever I remind myself,
Life goes on.

Teenhood is complicated,
Screaming parents,
Wrestling siblings,
People with drama,
Fighting depression,
Fake smiles,
Forcing laughter,
Friends helping,
Solving problems,

Individuality,
As an adult, you now know who you are.
Being on your own,
You’re filled with your own personal goals.
Sharing your life with someone special,
Then later on bringing another life into this world.
Your decisions now affect others,
Your filled with old friends from the past,
And also new friends.
They are there to help you in every hard decision you make.
Adulthood is when you can no longer lean on your parents.
You have your own house,
With your own possessions.
With your own life.

Seniorhood.
The end of life.
As you live it,
You’re reminded of your life,
You are reminded through your children,
Your grandchildren,
And sometimes if you’re lucky,
Your GREAT grandchildren.
You are to be happy with your fully lived life,
All the love you’ve received,
All the great times you’ve had,
Even the times you felt broken.
After all,

The broken moments only made you stronger.
As a wise, old, senior,
You are now able to help the young ones.
Help guide them through life.
And make sure they are as happy in their seniorhood as you are.
