Running From the Dark
He is leaving
To a place that is
Warm,
Sunny,
And never stops smiling.
He’s running from this
Cold,
Dark,
Frowny-face kind of place.
And no matter how hard it is
To release my hold on him,
I know he must go
To be happy.
And no matter how bad my heart breaks
I will hold him there forever.
We made a promise.
He remembers.
Bestest Friends In the Whole Wide World.
He will never lose that title.
I refuse to lose him.
But he has to escape this
Frowny-face kind of place
To be able to
Never stop smiling.
