Playground Fun
It started like a game of tag.
I could read him,
He couldn't read me.
I would tease him with different emotional statues-
A wink,
A smile,
A frown,
Casting me eyes away as if to seem shy.
All keeping him on his toes.
But deep inside I wondered what he would think of my game.
Would he turn away,
Get bored with me?
Would he land back onto his feet and not like what he sees?
Tired of my wall of fake emotions,
I'll watch him leave.
Then I'll fall down onto the sidewalk and cry like a child who just scrapped their knee.
