Sensory Overload
Sensory overload.
It controls my soul.
It encompasses the definition of my life.
Sensory overload.
It clouds my thoughts.
It threatens to impale my sanity.
I fight back the tears
Yet they remain close behind.
I ignore the pressing pain
But it take pride in its fight.
I’m losing.
I’m losing it all.
Will I have time to say goodbye?
It wouldn’t miss me anyway.
I’m falling.
I’m swiftly falling.
Where will I end up?
When will the relief come?
Why do I even try?
I’m dying.
I’ll soon be gone.
It overcomes what’s left of me.
Sensory overload.
