Off Limits
Forbidden is his name
And his looks and all that is
He
“It’s off limits” I think to myself
Red dew drops of water on my morning grapefruit
They drip down
On my hand, and I can see them change.
I go to wash my face
In the water I leave
His name, his face,
His smell, thoughts,
I watched his eyes swivel down the drain pipe.
Puncturing my lip
I bite down, and before I act next
I pray it worked
Then I look up and see my own green, very green eyes
And so I put his eyes behind mine and look at the green
Green and a very light Blue
Clash, I know that to be true.
The grapefruit was delicious,
And my skin is soft, refreshingly so
And the day is waiting,
I’ve cleaned my face and I have nothing to hide
Things are looking
Open
