Originality
Originality is so hard to find
How could i know what's in my mind
Has not been thought before in time?
How could i know my thoughts are mine?
Each word i speak must have been spoken
By one before me rich or homeless
Artists, Mailmen, Doctors, Poets
Someone somewhere must have known it.
Before it crept across my brain
to someone else it did the same
So who is to know if what i write
Is mine at all although I would like
To stand here now and take the credit
Someone somewhere must have said it
And some of you might just have read it
