Color of Emotions
My heart beats fast as I realize what’s happened
The darkness instantly turns to light
Sending a white brightness throughout the platform
Something went wrong, but I can’t help but smile
It brings me excitement, curiosity, and adrenaline
I like it when the unexpected happens
To others it brings panic and anger
To some, pure rage with bright red faces
Despite my happiness, the others can’t know
My questions are answered, they can only wonder
Standing 80 feet in the air, people grasp for support
All I can do is lead them, making them follow the red upon my back
I give reassuring direction in a calm, steady tone
But my answers are generic,
Not giving true answer to what went wrong
But we all reach safety, standing in the bright white light
