Water Lily
A day of fog and harsh, damp air.
A young man sees and bends to stare:
A maiden lying on grass to rest
With pale hands folded on her breast.
Her hair was wet with lovers' tiffs,
And the young man presently lifts
The languid maiden on his cart,
And tries to warm her frozen heart.
