Love Gone Wrong
I stood there
 In the alley
 With you close by

 You said
 It's okay
 There's no need to hide

 But I could see
 The wide grimace you had
 And the dagger
 You clutched in your hand

 My breathing got heavy
 I started to tremble
 You crept ever closer

 I started to worry
 And question myself
 How could you be
The man I wanted to marry

 Why so afraid
 You asked with a blade
 Come here
I'll put an end to this madness

 I couldn't come out
 I was still too afraid
 But I couldn't help myself
 When you screamed my name

 I still loved you
 I couldn't hold back
 I came out of hiding

 I yearned for an embrace
 Instead
 I got a dagger
 Lanced in my side

 You tried to give me
 A kiss goodbye

 But because you refused
 My second chance
 It tasted
 A mouthfull of mace
