when the clock strikes twelve
Leave me alone
 At midnight
For I’ll change back to a
 Real horror to behold
 All my ugliness will
 Reappear
 All my splendor lost
 My magic will expire
 Everything will fade away
People tell me I talk like that girl
The one in that old fairytale
 My life so pretty
 Yet sprinkled with ashes
 Her name is Cinderella
 She is me
And I am her for a night
A princess in a ball gown
 Scrubbing away the hate
That left stains on the floor
 Come morning
 All will die
Will be washed away with tears
 And a dirty old rag
So share this precious dance with me
 Twirl me under the stars
 Cherish every moment
 For
 When
 The
 Clock
 Strikes
 Twelve
 All will be forgotten
