Everything Was Him
His eyes were my hazel
The creamy color I saw in the mirror
It was the only color I called my own
 But now it was his
Just as the sunshine was his
Shining in the waves of his golden hair
 And how cinnamon was his
Wafting from him in gentle aroma
 Everything was his
 The feeling of softness
 His fingertips along my collar
 Of roughness and gentleness
 Red especially was his
 His favorite color
And the color of his skin in afternoon
Also his lips after being pressed to mine
Matching the flush in our cheeks
He took the reflection from the lake
 The pink in the sunset
 Light from the stars
 Everything was him
 But he
 Was mine
