Dear Yanni,
Your music makes tangible
memories of my father
and love
where none existed.
Hearing Santorini
every day before preschool
(while Backstreet Boys belted
in the car a lane over)
may have contributed
to my social ineptitude
but I'd treasure music over people any day.
