My mind is full
Of unraveling twine
String after string revealing
What is buried deep inside.
A flourished tree
With swinging limbs
Outstretched towards the sky
And dripping with gems.
Each gem sparkles
With a fire alight
with not just memories
But lessons from life.
A valley surrounds it
Speckled with glass flowers
Shining with gold light
Captured from the spindly tower.
The flowers glow
Lighting the way
To the outside from the tree
In this the year of finding me.
