Trapped in a Dream
Ideas swirl around me
Dreams press against my smooth skin
A pool of magnificent mysteries pulse above me
I gaze out the window
pressing my fingertips against the glass
the real world lies beyond me
only a few feet from where I stand
but the glass divides the dimensions
of dreams
and reality
this dream has gone on too long
slowly shifting to a nightmare
this mystery has lost its magic
as the world rushes on around me
here I float
waiting
wishing
wanting
trapped...
in a dream

Don't we all know it. Dreams are strange things. Good job :)

Great poem! I especially like the line "this mystery has lost its magic". The concept of being "trapped in a dream" is also interesting, because we'd think one would be "trapped" in a nightmare and purposefully entering a dream :).
This makes me think. Actually, you can be trapped in some dreams...
