These bolts against my head, shell around my heart
Why couldn't it have been this way from the very start?
My thoughts they have been rumored
My lovers they've been lured
Daggers have been thrown, penetrating deep
But little do they know, they'll never catch me weep
If they see my fear my courage will be faded
My bright, contrasting colors, soon they will be shaded
You have pulled me from astray
and on the right path you will make me stay
This is a maddening world all around me,
and if you open your eyes you might can see .
