I Am Not Sorry

I am writing in pen
Because I am not sorry for these words
I'm hoping they hurt
Just as much as I am hurting
I want these words to cut
Like the words you said to me
Trying to make like this was okay
That you leaving was alright
They should burn
Like my lungs do at 3a.m.
When I wake up with no air
And my heart is beating hard
Deep they will scar
Like the memories we made
Through two years of love
Hugs, kisses, and more
Forever they will hurt
Because that's how long you promised
To love me for
Always and forever
I am not sorry for these words.
