Never putting forth effort
Grace and beauty
A royal life

Not allowed to choose
Barely a trophy
Merely their new pawn

Just a doll
Not allowed to think
Dressed in gold
To sit on a shelf
‡
A beautiful doll
Not taught to care
Lost all hope
Falls off the shelf
‡
A damaged doll
With no second chance
Swept under the rug
Forgotten again
