Raining all night the green house was muddy from sight, Despite the mud we trudged through it like troopers with a purpose, The purpose was to plant trees and don't let the muddy field win the fight, Day one we worked together trying to go again and next time go back and dig holes for our new trees, hopefully the trees will grow at rapid speed, And fight against gravity like the rose that grew from concrete, Then sooner or later grow into a wonderful and healty tree, With pretty colors and strong leaves grow tall and strong just like our mentees, And now we have new trees thanks to highland park high school and howard uni-ver-sity.
