The Real Me
In the dark I hide
Is there anyone for me to confide?
I am scared to be discovered
I want to be loved and mothered
To blend in is such a horrible task
So I hide behind my darkened mask
You won't see me for me
You'll see what isn't supposed to be
If I am found,
I will be tied and bound
To those who captured me
Then I will never be free
If you could only see
The real me
Small and vulnerable as can be
Scared to show myself to me
