Sweet Poison
This bottle is so cold
Clasped in my hands
It's the only thing standing
Between me and what can
Be of the life
I once longed for
But now that life has died
So long for this bottle is still cold
This mirror is still cracked
Or is that my face?
The face of a woman
So torn and dazed
For this woman is but still a girl
Trying to fit into
An unfit world
So long for this mirror is still cracked
This cigarette
Is my only friend
I watch my fingers bring it up
Suck in its sweet poison
The dull, white paper
Is like my lies
Trying to cover up
The toxin inside
So long for this friend will only watch me die
