creasing bones
bones creasing around
silent eyelids because
this darkness that haunts all
removes the soul, and the skin
bruises and the blood sheds like
raindrops. the razor takes more
than just sanity, it takes a house
a home a noose around a neck.
it tells stories and leaves skin
dry like a desert only thirsting
for someone's innocent love. and
the funny part is, it's only allowed
in dreams, not nightmares, dreams
of this anchor that weighed me down
and these wings that forgot how
to lift me back up. so i sleep to
forget, i sleep to escape but you
come with me. the monster under
the bed doesn't forget the nightmares,
silly. that only happens in your
nonexistent dreams.
