A Study in Hands
Hands are made for touching.
Feathers on the face, they are soft.
They do not hurt.
Some are used for fighting
To hold guns, knives
Blisters forming, scrapes bleeding.
Instruments of pain, love
Hands are hard, soft.
They catch and throw away.
Hands are friends, foes.
The nurturing mother
The backstabbing brother.
Hands are weapons
But of what?
That is the decision.
