Snowfall
Falling down in the sky,
it's a clear day.
Full of joy and white crisp snow.
As I get near I see housetops,
blanketed with full puffy sheets of snow,
I see the people wearing their thickest winter jackets
scurrying from car to house.
I see the giant snow pile,
up on the tallest hill.
People of all ages are climbing up,
and soaring down in saucers-
spinning crazily.
I see people coming down the hill on large,
long toboggans.
I see children dashing up the hill-
and there parents not far behind carrying the sleds.
I see people trying to catch themselves before they fall onto the slick ice.
I see that big plow truck barreling down the street-
sweeping snow to the side.
I see the snow mixing in with the dirt,
making a grimy substance.
I see now that everybody is getting colder-
as the sun is going down,
they hurry inside to sip on there hot chocolate.
But most of all I see the joy that the winter time brings.
