i am not exceptional
i have a disappointing 2.0 GPA
i am short at a mere 5'2"
i am chubby at 125-130
i have a pretty face with flawed skin
i have soft hair that is always flat
i can sing but have mediocre pitch
i write but it is amateurish
i grasp for truth only to find the same problems as all do
i look for answers but only come to the confused state as the rest
i struggle to be a good person but am still shallow
i try to be a good friend but i am sadly selfish
i hope to be a good daughter but am rebellious, regardless
i want to be a good sister but am impatient, too
we all want to be someone unique
the person that makes the difference
though we cannot seem to be much better than the souls before us
it is an impossible goal, however
the attempts make us worthy
