Glass Sand
And let the ocean carry me onto a beach with glass sand,
as the tide pulls me closer let it not look menacing,
even if there are cracks and sharp edges awaiting my arrival,
Say I didn’t expect too much when I was offered a beach of glass,
Which is unknown to me,
I am treading on thin ice,
An oceans chill spreads up my spine,
I close my eyes to frigid weather rattling through my bones,
imagine a warmth on this fragile location,
A smile,
A face,
A burning candle with wax dripping slowly down its surface,
and I dine with a lover who has yet to search his soul.
