Memories.
The bitter taste of metallic chains fills me
as I shut my eyes;
demanding for that one memory to stay in place
forever
and never lose it's meaning.
I look back on it,
repeatedly
hopping that those few moments
will last forever.
Memories
move like water
and break like waves,
carrying their insides with them.
The come and go
staying for a blink
then fade away,
having us chase after them.
