A Beautiful Heart
Hearken!
Listen to my heart as it thuds against its cage
Against its rage
Against this restraining little space it must call home
It beats
It thuds
It bangs
It booms
It roars from its lonely little space
So small, so
Small
So lonely
Hearken!
Listen to my heart as it calls
For you
For you soon
To remember what it was like when you eyes were still new
It wants your approving smile
Your eyes
Your lips
Your fingers caressing its hair as you pull in for a kiss
So happy, so
Happy
So lovely
Hearken!
Listen to my heart as it cries
For your approving eyes
Your approving sighs
Your approvement rising to accept the life
That you so stubbornly deny
My heart cries
It sobs
It screams
It wails from the idea that you do not accept it
Simply because of its beauty
Or rather, lack there of
The beauty you do not behold
The beauty you’ve sold
To so many low-lives
So low, so
Low
So lonely
