This Madness of Aging
Is it possible that we,
Still so young and unsure,
Are making the descent
Into the madness of aging?
I don’t believe the time has come
To say goodbye to summer
And hello to that tasteful, colorful fall
Into the madness of aging.
If we were to say no
With tongues of absolute positivity
Could we halt our mindless jumps
Into the madness of aging?
Some may ask if we ourselves become mad
Or if the circumstances we encounter
Are really what drag us feet first
Into the madness of aging.
Are there ways to go around it,
This impassable event and wall
That all men must at one point succumb to,
This madness of aging?
