Heart of Disaster
She wants to go mad with love
so she dances a strange dance
at the edge of the cliff
overhanging insanity.
She does not look down;
instead she looks up
believing if she falls
the arms of the sky will catch her.
She spins faster and faster
out of control
as though in a dream...
She feels
but cannot see
the craziness of her movements.
Each pulse of passion pushes her closer—
the urge to surrender
is impossible to resist.
One fateful step
sends her tumbling
into the heart of disaster.
She realizes, too late
that the sky is insubstantial;
she falls, not in love
but in madness.
