Goodbye
A friendship, brief; a shooting star.
A fragile thing, so dear-
Towards death; emblazoned, fizzled out
Upon a night, so clear.
With passing time, and in my mind
Some memories erase.
Within my thoughts, so suddenly-
I cannot see your face.
What once held dear, so quickly lost;
The twinkling of an eye.
Slowly let go, friendship now gone-
This final word- Goodbye.
