Sitting hunch-backed
and everything
always, always
just decides to
turn sideways
like when a drunk
half-naked in sleep
decides to turn over
beer belly pouring
over the side of the couch;
Not sure in which
direction
that is
or where
my limbs,
like chandeliers
hanging heavy
above the ground,
will end up.
and I
—I’ll just smoke
a filthy little cigarette
and hang around,
sideways
the snakes
in the Sahara
know what I’m saying
I swear
I’ll just be sitting
and everything
always, always
just
turns
sideways
