Summer Memories
I drowned that summer
I sank further than ever before
I became a ship
wrecked into a thousand parts
shattered enough for a million hearts
I became distant
unwilling to surface
unwilling to breathe
I so freely announced abandon
and so quickly aborted
all sense of morals
I broke utterly and completely
I slipped away so very discreetly
This wasn'y my low
It was only the start
It wasn't my high
It never came close
I began the climb
In the bleakest of times.
