Last Bottle

Last Bottle
by Jasmine L-m on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 6:54pm ·
You finished the bottle,
The last bit of liquid travels down your throat,
You feel it,
You feel your body start numb,
Your thoughts start to change,
The pain of the day melts away,
With each bottle the worries pass,
Instant relief but your body feels weak,
You look around at the people you love,
Their images are fuzzy,
Take another drink,
They scream and cry,
begging for a why,
You say you try but it hurts inside,
the bottle is your weakness and your strength,
The numbness feels liferelief,
You say shut up,
I can see, I'm fine,
You no you're not, but who gives a f***,
You're just lying,
No worries about dying,
They get in the car,
The ones you love,
You grab the wheel and try to steer,
Not knowing that bottle is about to be your last beer,
There it goes,
Silence grows,
Bodies bleed, but you feel free,
That bottle was your relief,
But your drink was their defeat,
The one's you love are gone,
was it wrong?
The bottle's all gone.
