Seraph
She comes to me in sleep,
soft cocoa-colored hands
caressing my cheeks.
Her smile beams with bright comfort
and her white dress billows
in the summer's night breeze
wafting through the window.
Her laugh sounds like honey
and her voice like caramel.
She glows in soft pallor,
shielding me from the night.
Gold bracelets jingle
like bird calls on her wrists,
but the mind erases
her ambrosial presence
by morning.
